A NIGHT AT THE RACES

Horse races have a long been a part of the tradition of glamour, and we have been given the opportunity to sponsor the Saturday Independent on the 4 May at Greyville Race course giving us the opportunity to spend a night at the races. The experience was one of a different kind. I have never attended a night race before, and it truly was one of the most spectacular evenings I have had in a long time. The excitement you feel when the race starts, comes to a climax when the horses give their all to cross the finish line. Betting of course just adds a fabulous kick being able to shout for your horse, but truly just to watch these beautiful creatures is a special experience. The horses are certainly the stars and what a lot of passion is poured in behind the scenes, to get them to become such special performers. It was humbling just to look at them.

The next event where I can be with and be able to watch these beautiful animals again is the Durban July, and I just cannot wait.
